Support Worker

Type: Casual and/or Permanent (up to 38 hours/week)
Award: Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award
Location: Community or Participant’s Home

The Role

We’re looking for Support Workers who:

  • Assist participants with daily living tasks and personal care (hygiene, grooming)
  • Support light domestic duties, including meal prep and cleaning.
  • Provide transport to appointments and facilitate community outings.
  • Arrange social activities and build meaningful relationships.
  • Deliver individual support plans.
  • Document services, incidents, and reports accurately
  • You’ll work alongside our House Coordinators, mentoring and learning in a warm, inclusive, empowering environment.

What You Bring (Essential)

  • 2 years’ experience in disability, mental health, community services, aged care, residential, or rehab settings
  • Experience supporting participants with high needs
  • Excellent communication skills, including interpreting non-verbal cues
  • Understanding of professional boundaries and restrictive practices
  • Ability to prioritise, meet deadlines, work under pressure and with minimal supervision
  • Strong written/verbal skills and clear case notes
  • Person-centred approach in home and community settings
  • Experience working with allied health therapists and stakeholders
  • Understanding of mandatory reporting
  • Willingness to work flexible hours (shift work) and travel
  • Reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance
  • Good computer literacy (Microsoft Office)
  • Understanding of WHS policies and procedures
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Working with Children Check

Desirable

  •  Cert 2 or 3 in Disabilities, Individualised Supports, Aged Care, Mental Health, or related field
